Smart Energy GB's Online Bakealong

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 25 November 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02243

That the Parliament recognises the success of the Smart Energy GB online event, Bakealong, in bringing together a cross-party selection of MSPs to raise awareness of the importance of smart meters in the journey to net zero; notes the fun and informal way that an important message was communicated by this engagement with the Members, by encouraging them to bake while discussing key aspects of the rollout of smart meters, focusing on making energy visible for consumers and empowering them to make changes in their energy use, and thanks the business, Hebridean Baker, and the Presiding Officer, for their contribution to the evening.
