Congratulating Caption This and Charlotte Little on Launching Accessible Cinema

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 19 November 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02187

That the Parliament congratulates Caption This on organising pop-up cinemas that represent and engage disabled audiences; applauds this work, which strives to empower and prioritise deaf and disabled people through making films accessible; notes that Charlotte Little is a driving force behind the project, campaigning for a better experience for disabled audiences; understands that, throughout the year, Caption This will be putting on a series of hybrid and in-person screenings around Scotland, also offering a pay-what-you-can sliding scale, making it even more accessible, and hopes that this fantastic work can continue into the future.
