That the Parliament congratulates Jawad and Asiyah Javed, who run the local Day-Today Express in Alloa Road, Stenhousemuir, on winning the Confectionery Retailer of the Year and Community Retailer of the Year titles in this year’s Local Retailer Awards; understands that they have been praised for going above and beyond for their vulnerable customers over the course of the pandemic by delivering 50 to 100 food packages to people across their community; further understands that the needs of people were identified in the early stages of the pandemic, leading to more than 3,000 care packages being delivered for free by Jawad, Asiyah and their team; notes that they are awaiting the outcome of the national Shop Local, Shop Little Heroes awards in January 2022; thanks Jawad and Asiyah for all of their effort to support the people living in Stenhousemuir and beyond, and wishes them continued success in the future.
