Motherwell and Wishaw High Schools Participating in Future Fridays

That the Parliament commends Our Lady’s High School, Dalziel High School, Braidhurst High School, Clyde Valley High School, St Aidan’s High School and Coltness High School on participating in Future Fridays; understands that the Future Fridays initiative, led by North Lanarkshire Council, with a range of exciting opportunities, some of which many children and young people may never previously have had access to; notes that the programme seeks to improve skills relating to employability, leadership, health and wellbeing, and community participation; further notes that schools in the area have taken on the responsibility for developing their own range of unique activities from football, basketball, dance and cycling to graphics, gaming and art; understands that this draws on expanding youth leadership, climate change awareness, mental health awareness and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, sports leadership and involvement in community associations, and wishes the pupils who are involved all the very best for the future.
