That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow social enterprise, Locavore, on winning a contract with East Ayrshire Council to provide healthy and sustainable ingredients for school dinners; understands that this will help to nurture children’s education by improving their physical and mental health; recognises Locavore's work in building a more sustainable local food system; believes that this presents a shift in the kind of businesses that can and should receive public procurement contracts; understands that this is an example of how community wealth building can be done in practice, and considers that more should be done to increase powers and funding, to help bring ethical local businesses and local authorities together.
