  • Submitted by: Sue Webber, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 15 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00389

That the Parliament congratulates Carol Murdoch, of Carol's Tutoring, on her company being named Scottish Tuition Service of the Year; understands that Carol is delighted to receive the accolade from the Prestige Awards, where she had been nominated as Lothian's Tutoring Service of the Year; further understands that Carol believes that, despite not fitting the "typical" teacher mould after leaving school at 16 with few qualifications, she hopes her story will inspire others who want to follow in her footsteps; acknowledges that Carol also runs the Love Outdoor Learning education service, and commends her for the hard work and dedication leading to this award.
