Official Opening of the Robert Black Memorial Helipad

  • Submitted by: Jenni Minto, Argyll and Bute, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 10 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00341

That the Parliament celebrates the official opening of the Robert Black Memorial Helipad in Campbeltown on 12 June 2021 and thanks all involved in the project, which will help many for years to come; notes the helipad, which has been operational since 1 April 2021, speeds up the transfer of patients to and from Campbeltown Hospital; believes that this a fitting and lasting tribute to the dearly missed community paramedic, Robert Black, who had worked for the Scottish Ambulance Service for 28 years and sadly died from COVID-19 in 2020.
