That the Parliament congratulates the Team Jak Foundation (TJF) on the opening of its new Jak’s Den base at Ochil House, Livingston; acknowledges that the TJF, which was created at the request of the late Mid Calder teenager, Jak Trueman, who had a rare and aggressive form of cancer, provides practical, social and emotional support to children and young people with cancer and related illnesses, their family, friends and those who have been bereaved; notes that the charity’s first hub was opened in 2015; understands that this new den has indoor spaces for music and sensory play therapies, a media and teen zone, an area for parents and also an outdoor activity space with counselling pods, a pirate ship and a reflective angel garden; acknowledges that it will allow the TJF to welcome more families, and wishes all involved with the charity every success for the future.
