That the Parliament congratulates Viewpark Conservation Group on securing a grant of £435,800 from the Scottish Land Fund for the Douglas Support Estate in Lanarkshire, which will bring the estate into community ownership; notes that this is the largest amount of urban land acquired to date under the Scottish Land Fund; acknowledges that the future of Douglas Support, which dates back to the 17th century, is now secured as this grant will help preserve and upgrade the estate as a natural resource for local people and wildlife; notes the historical and cultural value of Douglas Support as an important green space but also as a recreational facility for the local and Lanarkshire community, and acknowledges Grace and Tom McNeill and everyone at Viewpark Conservation Group for their tremendous hard work and dedication over many years.
