That the Parliament congratulates High Blantyre Primary School on its work with the community groups, Friends of the Calder, Bonnie Blantyre, Blantyre Community Council and the TACT Healthy Garden project on various environmental community projects over the last year; notes that the school, which has recently gained its second Green Flag award, has been involved in a range of initiatives, including battery recycling, litter-picking, planting, building a recycled plastic greenhouse, intergenerational work with the staff and residents of a local care home and sheltered housing complex, producing a video on road safety and taking part in outdoor learning activities with South Lanarkshire Countryside Rangers; further notes that the school’s efforts have seen it gain a gold award from the Woodland Trusts Green Tree Awards scheme, and a level 3 RHS School Gardening Award, and wishes the school and the pupils all the best for future school and community projects.
