  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S5M-12267

That the Parliament notes that 17 May marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia; is deeply concerned with the findings in the recent report by LGBT Youth Scotland, Life in Scotland for LGBT Young People, which suggested that 71% of LGBT young people and 82% of transgender young people had experienced bullying in school, with figures rising over the last five years; is concerned that 35% and 41% of the same groups said that they had experienced a hate crime or incident in the last year and that 84% and 96% reported having a mental health problem, and supports the appeal from LGBT Youth Scotland that all of these young people should experience the same positive services and life outcomes as their peers.
