That the Parliament notes what it understands are the first strikes at McDonald's restaurants in the UK; understands that workers at two branches in Cambridge and Crayford reportedly withdrew their labour in response to repeated harassment of workers and victimisation of members of the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union; notes the call for at least a £10 per hour living wage for all workers in the fast food and hospitality sector and an end to exploitative practices such as zero-hour contracts; welcomes the work of campaigners and unions in the Hungry for Justice and Better than Zero campaigns, and notes the calls on McDonalds to treat workers in its restaurants in Lothian, Scotland and across the UK with fairness, dignity and respect.
