That the Parliament welcomes Diageo’s award-winning training programme, Learning for Life, which encourages young unemployed people from Leven, Fife, and across the rest of Scotland, to attend a six-week training course to gain the skills required for a career in the hospitality industry and provides them with the opportunity to learn new skills, gain recognised qualifications and build confidence; acknowledges that, since its launch in 2014, around 900 people have graduated from the course, 76% of whom have successfully secured permanent roles in the hospitality sector, and wishes all of its students the very best for the future.
