Braidhurst High School Wins SSFA Senior Shield

That the Parliament congratulates the under-18 football squad of Braidhurst High School in Motherwell on winning the Scottish Schools FA Senior Shield after defeating Eastwood High School 2-1 at Hampden Park on 9 May 2017; notes that this is the school's first success in the competition since 1986; understands that it is one of seven schools that takes part in the SFA Performance Strategy; congratulates the team captain, Darren Wilson, the coaching team and physio, Peter Brandon, Fraser Lawson, Graeme Marshall and Kelly McKenna, and the players, Adam Sinnet, Cameron Dickson, Leon McCann, Cameron Clark, Adam Greer, Ross Wilson, Reece Geddes, Kyle Connell, Lewis Gamble, Deryn Lang, Jamie Semple, Lewis Guy, Reegan Mimnaugh, Jack Keary and Jonathan McCabe; applauds the referee, Lloyd Wilson, his assistants, Billy Dewar-Riddick and Kieran Whalen, and the fourth official, Owen Blackstock, on running an excellent game; commends the Braidhurst high team on their hard work and commitment, and wishes them all well for the future.
