  • Submitted by: Ross Greer, West Scotland, Scottish Green Party

  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S5M-03047

That the Parliament congratulates Bearsden Academy on raising over £4,000 from its 2016 fashion show, Shout; believes that this is a record amount raised in the many years that the fashion show has been running; further notes that this year’s show was in tribute to Liz Ogg, a former English teacher at the school who recently passed away from motor neurone disease and who, during her illness, wrote the OggBlog to record her experiences; notes the immense impression that Liz made on thousands of students over her many years of teaching, and commends the students for selecting Motor Neurone Disease Scotland as the charity that all proceeds will go towards.
