That the Parliament congratulates Kenneth Bone, who is an Arran farmer, on developing and building Glenkiln Hydro, which opened on 28 October 2016; notes that it is a joint venture with MEG Renewables and has taken two years to complete; applauds this achievement and understands that it will generate enough electricity to power up to 500 homes and provide 15% of Arran’s electricity, and considers that this new renewable energy resource will be of great benefit to the people and communities of Arran.
