That the Parliament recognises Scotland’s Anti-Bullying Week 2026, which takes place from 16 to 20 November; welcomes this year’s theme, "Be Unique – Bullying is wrong. Let’s get along", led by Scotland’s anti-bullying service, respectme; notes with concern research indicating that one in three young people experience bullying from their peers at school; acknowledges the significant and potentially long-lasting impact that bullying can have on children and young people’s confidence, mental health and wellbeing, particularly where bullying is motivated by prejudice or targets an individual’s identity; believes that every child and young person has the right to feel safe, respected, valued and included, regardless of their background, identity or differences; commends respectme for its continued work in raising awareness, challenging prejudice and providing resources and support to schools, families and youth organisations across Scotland; welcomes the launch of the Be Unique film and animation, which features the voices of children and young people and celebrates the differences that make everyone unique; encourages schools, youth groups and communities across Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, and throughout Scotland, to participate in Anti-Bullying Week activities, and reaffirms the importance of creating a culture of kindness, respect and inclusion in which bullying is challenged, diversity is celebrated and every young person is supported to be themselves.
