That the Parliament congratulates Inverness and Black Isle U3A on its 25th anniversary, marked by a celebration at Inverness Town House; recognises that, since its establishment in 2001, the charity has provided opportunities for retired and semi-retired people to learn new skills, pursue their interests and build friendships; commends its members and volunteers for sustaining a varied programme of activities, including walking, garden visits, bridge, music and languages; acknowledges the value of these opportunities in encouraging lifelong learning, supporting wellbeing and tackling social isolation; thanks all those who contributed to the anniversary celebration, which showcased members’ talents through music, poetry and displays, and wishes the group continued success as it embraces its ethos of “learn, laugh, live”.
