That the Parliament congratulates Penumbra’s Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Dundee service on reaching its fifth anniversary; recognises that the service has supported 3,195 people experiencing distress since its launch, offering timely, compassionate and person-centred support; commends its peer-led approach, with every team member drawing on their own lived experience to support others; welcomes that two people who previously accessed the service have gone on to become DBI peer practitioners themselves; acknowledges the team’s commitment to contacting people within 24 hours of referral, often within hours, and its partnerships across Dundee, including with every GP surgery in the city; notes that the team received the Policing Partner of the Year Award in March 2025, and thanks the team and its partners for their dedication to ensuring that people experiencing distress are listened to, treated with dignity and supported through difficult times.
