That the Parliament congratulates Bright Arts CIC on receiving £19,972 from the National Lottery Community Fund to enable the organisation to continue providing free creative wellbeing classes for participants in sheltered housing venues across the Scottish Borders; recognises its work to make creative activities accessible to people who might experience barriers to participating in mainstream community activities; notes that previous Bright Arts projects have delivered free and inclusive crafting sessions in sheltered housing settings with the aim of improving mental and physical wellbeing, reducing social isolation and providing safe and supportive environments; considers that creative activity can provide valuable opportunities for self-expression, conversation, friendship and learning new skills; recognises the importance of taking activities directly into sheltered housing communities, particularly for people who may have mobility or transport difficulties; commends everyone involved with Bright Arts CIC for using creativity to strengthen social connections and support wellbeing, and wishes the organisation continued success with its programme.
