Beyond Earlston Receives £19,828 from the National Lottery Community Fund

That the Parliament congratulates Earlston Catchment Voluntary Youth Work Services, which is known as Beyond Earlston, on receiving £19,828 from the National Lottery Community Fund to support sessional youth workers to deliver after-school activities and trips for 11- to 18-year-olds across the Scottish Borders; recognises that Beyond Earlston provides inclusive activities for young people across towns and villages in the Earlston High School catchment area; notes that its activities aim to broaden young people's horizons through new experiences, outdoor learning, environmental projects, volunteering and community participation; recognises its involvement in the Stepping Stones programme, which provides young people with one-to-one and small-group support aimed at improving emotional wellbeing, confidence and life chances; welcomes its efforts to keep activities free or low-cost so that financial circumstances do not prevent them from participating; commends its staff, trustees and volunteers for creating safe spaces in which young people can develop skills, friendships, confidence and resilience, and wishes Beyond Earlston continued success.
