Artbeat Studios Receives £2,650 from the National Lottery Community Fund

That the Parliament congratulates Artbeat Studios in Hawick on receiving £2,650 from the National Lottery Community Fund to support a community event to celebrate 25 years of operation, as well as new signage and the creation of wall hanging designed by members of the community; recognises Artbeat Studios as a registered charity, which provides inclusive support and facilities for the arts in a non-judgemental environment; notes its previous work to improve accessibility for its Hawick premises and make its creative facilities more accessible; recognises the important role that community arts organisations can play in dealing with isolation, encouraging creativity, building confidence and bringing people together; commends everyone who has contributed to Artbeat Studios over the last 25 years, including its staff, volunteers, participants and supporters; thanks National Lottery players for supporting grassroots organisations in the Scottish Borders, and wishes Artbeat Studios every success with its anniversary celebrations and for many years to come.
