That the Parliament congratulates BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour on reaching its 80th anniversary on 7 October 2026; recognises the programme's contribution over eight decades to informing public debate and amplifying women's voices and experiences; welcomes the decision to mark this significant milestone with a special live broadcast from Glasgow Women's Library, a world-leading resource dedicated to women's history, stories and achievements; recognises the wealth of archive material demonstrating Woman's Hour's longstanding role in providing a platform for women to speak about issues affecting their lives and communities; welcomes the anniversary theme, Use Your Voice, which celebrates the many ways in which women have used their voices to influence change, challenge inequality and contribute to public and private life; further welcomes the programme's planned year-long programme of celebrations, events and partnerships highlighting women's contributions across society, sport, music and culture, and wishes the Woman's Hour team every success as it celebrates 80 years of giving women a voice and ensuring that their stories are heard.
