That the Parliament welcomes the publication of Creating Value and Warming Homes, which is independent research by Social Value Lab examining the impact of energy efficiency and fuel poverty programmes delivered by Warmworks, including Warmer Homes Scotland; notes the finding suggesting that £174.6 million of public investment generated an estimated £403.3 million in social and economic value during 2023-24 and 2024-25, equivalent to £2.31 for every £1 invested; further notes the reported benefits for household finances, health and wellbeing, children’s educational experience and local economies; recognises the continuing impact of fuel poverty on households, including in the Renfrewshire North and Cardonald constituency, and considers that the findings demonstrate the wider social and economic value that can be generated by making homes warmer and more energy efficient.
