As an amendment to motion S7M-01377 in the name of Craig Hoy (Protecting Scots from Income Tax Rises), insert at end “; believes that taxpayers deserve value for money and to have confidence that their taxes are being spent wisely; calls on the Scottish Government to grow the tax base by addressing the challenges that prevent people from fully participating in the workforce, including greater support for people who are economically inactive due to poor physical or mental health and for parents who wish to return to work; further calls for the swift adoption of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ four-tiered national pathway for adults to better support people with neurodevelopmental conditions that may otherwise prevent them from fully participating in the workforce, and recognises the vital economic contribution of colleges and the vocational skills system to support people into skilled employment."
