That the Parliament welcomes the success of the 2026 iteration of the Craig Brown Memorial Tournament, held by Aberdeen FC at its Cormack Park facilities; understands that the tournament features under-16s teams from football clubs across Scotland, England and Europe competing against each other in a two-day tournament; acknowledges the legacy of Craig Brown, whose management career saw him take charge of the Scotland Men's National Team from 1993 to 2001, where he represented the nation at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France; congratulates the winner of this year's Craig Brown Memorial Trophy, Manchester United, which was crowned winner of the tournament after beating Preston North End in the finals held on 27 September; celebrates the work done by Aberdeen FC in organising the tournament, which offers a fun day out for the community whilst giving youth teams the opportunity to play competitive football, and hopes that the Craig Brown Memorial Tournament will continue for many more years, upholding the legacy of Scotland's longest serving national manager.
