St George's Community Centre Fundraising 

That the Parliament commends the fundraising efforts of St George's Community Centre in support of its attempt to purchase St George's Parish Church from the Church of Scotland; understands that the community centre has been a hub for Tillydrone for the last three years, providing a space for community events, organisations and clubs; acknowledges the impact that community centres have on deprived areas across Scotland, providing vital lifelines for individuals and families who may be struggling, whilst also providing a beacon for local communities; understands that following the decision by the Church of Scotland to sell the building where St George's operates, members of the community have come together to financially support the centre in raising the funds necessary to purchase the building outright; appreciates that with this funding St George's Community Centre will be able to purchase the building and continue operations, and wishes St George's Community Centre all the best in its future fundraising efforts.
