Welcoming the Publication of Universities Scotland’s Future Jobs Scotland Report

That the Parliament welcomes the publication of Universities Scotland’s Future Jobs Scotland report; understands that the report draws on engagement with businesses and employers across Scotland to identify current and future skills needs; recognises that universities offer a variety of work-based learning opportunities for students, including placements, internships and Graduate Apprenticeships, as well as lifelong career support; considers that universities are a vital part of our skills ecosystem, which prepare students and graduates for employment now and in the future, and believes that the development of Scottish Government’s national skills strategy must include universities as a core provider of skills alongside colleges and training providers.
