That the Parliament congratulates the University of Stirling on rising 18 places to 37th in the UK in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027; welcomes the recognition of the university's improved student satisfaction and strong graduate prospects; notes the guide’s praise for its research, including the finding that almost 80% of its submissions to the Research Excellence Framework 2021 were judged world-leading or internationally excellent; recognises its particular research strengths in agriculture, veterinary and food science, geography and environmental science, and social work and social policy, alongside the pioneering work of its Institute of Aquaculture; applauds the dedication and achievement of its academic staff, researchers, professional services and support staff, and students, whose hard work has earned this recognition; celebrates its outstanding sporting achievements, including the 24 medals won by 22 of its students at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games; recognises the university’s substantial contribution to Stirling’s community, economy and international reputation, and wishes everyone at the university continued success as it approaches its 60th anniversary in 2027.
