That the Parliament congratulates Mazzoli Italian Kitchen at the Tyneside Tavern in Haddington on being named Best Italian Restaurant at the Food Awards Scotland 2026; notes that the award recognises excellence in food quality, customer service and community engagement; understands that its owner, Paul Kinnoch, alongside his family and staff team, received the accolade at a ceremony in Glasgow after impressing customers and judges with the restaurant’s high standards and strong links to the community; recognises the importance of independent hospitality businesses in supporting local economies, creating employment opportunities and enhancing Scotland’s food and drink reputation; recognises the contribution that Mazzoli Italian Kitchen at the Tyneside Tavern has made to Haddington and East Lothian over many years; commends all those involved in achieving this success, including the kitchen, front-of-house and management teams, and wishes them every success for the future.
