That the Parliament congratulates everyone involved in the outstanding success of BBC Radio 2 in the Park, which was held at Stirling City Park from 11 to 13 September 2026; recognises that the event brought tens of thousands of people together in the heart of Stirling for an extraordinary three-day celebration of live music, featuring an outstanding programme of renowned international and Scottish artists; considers that the magnificent setting beneath Stirling Castle showcased the city at its very best to audiences across Scotland, the UK and beyond; commends Stirling Council and all of the local services, staff, volunteers and organisations whose work helped make such a major event possible; congratulates the BBC, BBC Scotland, Director of BBC Scotland, Hayley Valentine, Head of Radio 2, Helen Thomas, the Radio 2 team, presenters, production crews and everyone behind the scenes for creating and delivering such a memorable weekend; recognises the remarkable ability of music and shared experiences like this to bring people together, strengthen community and remind us of how much we have in common; believes that the atmosphere throughout the weekend demonstrated that power in a particularly joyful way; above all, thanks the people of Stirling and the thousands of visitors who attended for embracing the event with such enthusiasm, warmth and good humour, and considers that their response was what ultimately made Radio 2 in the Park such a magnificent celebration of music, community and togetherness.
