Eildon Learning Disability Service Receives Very Good Care Inspectorate Ratings

That the Parliament congratulates the staff of Eildon Housing Association’s Learning Disability Service following what it considers to be an excellent outcome from an unannounced Care Inspectorate inspection; understands that the service, which operates at Station Avenue in Duns and Poynder Gardens in Kelso, received Grade 5, Very Good, evaluations for both how well it supports people’s wellbeing and the quality of its leadership; notes that the inspection highlighted positive and trusting relationships between staff and the people whom they support, as well as the service’s work to promote independence, choice and active and fulfilling lives; understands that all areas for improvement identified at the previous inspection were found to have been fully met and that no new areas for improvement were identified; recognises the important role that high-quality learning disability services play in supporting people to live independently and participate fully in their communities; commends the local leadership team and staff for their compassion, professionalism and commitment, and wishes everyone involved with the service continued success.
