That the Parliament congratulates Eildon Housing Association on winning the Environmental Impact Award at the Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards 2026, which were held at Peebles Hydro on 28 August 2026; understands that the Selkirk-headquartered housing and care organisation operates across communities throughout the Scottish Borders; recognises that Eildon has placed sustainability at the centre of its corporate and operational decision-making and has set out an ambition to contribute to a just transition to a net zero-carbon economy; understands that its sustainability strategy aims to reduce emissions associated with both its homes and business operations while providing quality, affordable and environmentally lower-impact homes for future generations; notes that Eildon has previously been recognised for its environmental work, including winning the Net Zero Business of the Year category at the Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards in 2024; recognises the importance of improving the energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of housing while continuing to meet the needs of tenants and communities; commends the staff and board of Eildon Housing Association on receiving the 2026 Environmental Impact Award, and wishes the organisation continued success in its work across the Scottish Borders.
