That the Parliament congratulates Borders Competitions, founded by Jack Crowe, on being crowned the overall Borders Favourite Business 2026 at the Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards, which were held at Peebles Hydro on 28 August 2026; understands that the Duns-based company secured the overall title after first being named Berwickshire’s Favourite Business and going forward against the district winners from Ettrick and Lauderdale, Roxburghshire and Tweeddale; notes that the Borders Favourite Business Award is decided by public vote and that more than 1,400 people across the Scottish Borders voted in 2026; understands that Jack founded Borders Competitions at the age of 24 following service in the RAF and that, in just over three years, the company has awarded around £20 million in prizes; further understands that the business has donated more than £220,000 to local schools, charities, clubs and community groups and has supported events, including the Jim Clark Rally; believes that winning the overall Borders Favourite Business title demonstrates the strength of public support for the company; commends Jack and the Borders Competitions team for what it sees as their entrepreneurial success and commitment to giving back to the Scottish Borders, and wishes them continued success.
