Kingswells Community Centre Celebrates 35 Years

That the Parliament celebrates the 35th anniversary of Kingswells Community Centre; understands that the Aberdeen Donside based community centre first opened its doors to residents in 1991, following a rapid growth in house building around the Kingswells village; notes that the centre, which is situated at the heart of the community, features a large sports hall and café facility, and provides an extensive programme of activities for people of all ages; understands that the community centre also has a second facility, Webster Park, which is situated on the outskirts of Kingswells and provides a smaller studio facility, a full-size football pitch and a multi-use games area; acknowledges that the community centre strives to provide a welcoming, inclusive and community-focused hub where people of all ages can connect, learn, participate and thrive, whilst also remaining committed to keeping services, activities and facilities affordable and accessible, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to community involvement; congratulates all staff and volunteers at Kingswells Community Centre, and wishes them all the best going forward.
