That the Parliament recognises the Scottish Government’s commitment, through its Programme for Government 2026-31, to simplify the NHS by replacing the current 14 territorial NHS boards with two strategic NHS boards and to strengthen primary and community care; welcomes the Scottish Government’s commitment to improving patient access and delivering more joined-up care; understands that patients can experience differences in access to services and approaches to care between GP practices, and welcomes the opportunity presented by NHS reform to consider how greater consistency and equity in primary care can be supported across Scotland.
