Restart a Heart 2026

That the Parliament recognises Restart a Heart 2026, which is taking place in October and aims to improve CPR confidence and awareness of how to respond to an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest; understands that the campaign includes Restart a Heart Live, led by Save a Life for Scotland, which provides CPR training through a public awareness livestream; recognises the importance of ensuring that people across Scotland have the skills and confidence to perform CPR and use a defibrillator; welcomes the work of Resuscitation Council UK and Scottish partners in supporting communities to become ResusReady; acknowledges the role of schools, sports clubs, voluntary groups and local organisations in helping to reduce health inequalities, and encourages communities across Scotland to take part in Restart a Heart activities to help save lives.
