22nd Steve Hislop Memorial Run

That the Parliament recognises the 22nd Steve Hislop Memorial Run, which continues to honour the memory and sporting legacy of Hawick-born motorcycle racing champion, Steve Hislop; recognises the commitment of the organisers, volunteers, participants and supporters who have kept the memorial run going for more than two decades; acknowledges Steve Hislop’s outstanding achievements in motorcycle racing, including two British Superbike Championship titles and 11 Isle of Man TT victories; notes the strong connection between the event and the Hawick and Denholm communities; recognises that the 2026 run takes participants on a 135-mile route through the Scottish Borders while raising funds for prostate cancer support; welcomes the continued support for an event, which celebrates Steve Hislop’s contribution to motorcycle sport while raising money for charity, and wishes everyone involved in the 22nd Steve Hislop Memorial Run every success.
