City of Stirling Football Hall of Fame

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Football Supporters’ Association (SFSA) on the creation of the City of Stirling Football Hall of Fame; notes that the hall of fame will celebrate what it considers to be the most significant footballers from the city of Stirling and will be launched at a special event at Stirling Rugby Club on 28 August 2026; recognises that the first five inductees are Billy Bremner, Duncan Ferguson, Jimmy Bone, Alex Smith and Jimmy Ryan; notes that the launch will also see Scottish football legend, Dick Campbell, help launch a new book about his close friend, Jimmy Bone, who passed away in September 2025; recognises Jimmy Bone’s remarkable football career, which has already secured his induction into the halls of fame of Partick Thistle, St Mirren, Arbroath and Norwich City football clubs; further recognises that all profits generated by the event will go towards projects that Jimmy Bone was working on for the SFSA, including the Billy Bremner statue at The Raploch and its ongoing work with Play Soccer Malawi; understands that donations will also be made to the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland/SFSA Defibrillator Scheme and Kippen FC’s pitch upgrade project, as well as towards the installation of hall of fame materials; recognises the contribution of the hall of fame to celebrating Stirling’s rich football heritage and inspiring future generations, and wishes the SFSA, the inductees and everyone involved in the project every success with the launch.
