That the Parliament congratulates Fringe by the Sea on the successful conclusion of its 2026 festival in North Berwick; notes that the independent, not-for-profit multi-arts festival took place from 31 July to 9 August 2026 and featured more than 300 events spanning music, comedy, literature, film, talks and community activities; recognises the festival's significant contribution to East Lothian's cultural life and local economy, building on previous reported record-breaking attendance figures and economic impact; commends the organisers for continuing to provide a platform for both internationally renowned performers and emerging local talent; welcomes the festival's commitment to accessibility, community engagement and support for young people and local charities; acknowledges the important role played by volunteers, staff, sponsors and community partners in delivering the event; applauds Festival Director, Rory Steel, and the entire Fringe by the Sea team for their vision and dedication, and wishes everyone involved every success as preparations begin for the 2027 festival.
