That the Parliament congratulates Dunbar Day Centre on reaching its 50th anniversary; recognises the centre’s longstanding contribution to the Dunbar community since its establishment, providing a safe and welcoming social environment for older people and their carers; notes that a celebration to mark this significant milestone is due to take place on 27 August 2026 at the Bleachingfield Centre in Dunbar; commends the staff, volunteers, trustees, supporters and all those who have contributed to the success and sustainability of the centre over the past five decades; acknowledges the important role that community-based day services play in tackling social isolation, promoting wellbeing and supporting independent living for older people, and wishes everyone involved with Dunbar Day Centre every success for the anniversary celebrations and for many years to come.
