That the Parliament congratulates the Stonehaven Fireballs on being named a finalist in the Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival category at the 2026 Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards; recognises the dedication of the organising committee, volunteers and participants who work throughout the year to deliver this iconic Hogmanay celebration; notes that the Stonehaven Fireballs is one of Scotland's most distinctive and internationally recognised cultural traditions; acknowledges its contribution to promoting Aberdeenshire as a visitor destination and supporting the local economy, and wishes all those involved every success at the awards ceremony and for the future.
