That the Parliament notes reports that the UK Government is considering a ban on disposable barbecues; recognises concerns regarding the fire risk, litter and environmental damage associated with their use; notes that byelaws restricting the use of barbecues are already in place in some areas, including the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park; acknowledges that a number of retailers have taken voluntary action to restrict or suspend the sale of disposable barbecues in response to these concerns, and calls on the Scottish Government to review its opposition to a ban on disposable barbecues and to bring forward proposals, in consultation with the UK Government where necessary, to implement such a ban in Scotland.
