That the Parliament congratulates Aisha Sarwar of Thornliebank on becoming Scotland's youngest registered nurse after qualifying at the age of just 19; notes that Aisha began studying Adult Nursing at Glasgow Caledonian University when she was only 16, demonstrating exceptional commitment to her chosen profession from an early age; further notes what it sees as the significant personal challenges that Aisha overcame during her studies, including being hospitalised on multiple occasions following life threatening episodes of anaphylaxis, yet remaining determined to complete her training; recognises that her decision to pursue nursing was inspired by the compassionate care shown to her grandmother during her illness; commends the support provided by her family, university and NHS colleagues throughout her journey; believes that Aisha's resilience, compassion and dedication are an inspiration to young people across Scotland; welcomes her role as a scrub nurse, and wishes her every success as she continues to make a positive difference to patients, colleagues and communities throughout Scotland.
