Arbroath Pipe Band Wins European Championship Grade 4B Title

That the Parliament congratulates Arbroath Pipe Band’s Grade 4B band on winning Grade 4B at the European Pipe Band Championships, which took place at North Inch Park, Perth, on 27 June 2026; understands that this was a significant achievement at one of the major events in the pipe band calendar; notes that Arbroath finished ahead of Dumfries, Lanark and District, Uddingston Strathclyde, Kilbarchan and Irvine and District; further notes that it is a growing community organisation, with two bands and around 60 playing members; recognises its wider work in promoting Scottish piping and drumming, providing tuition and encouraging new players to develop their skills; commends the commitment of the pipers, drummers, tutors, volunteers, families and supporters who contribute to its success, and wishes Arbroath Pipe Band continued success in future competitions and performances.
