That the Parliament congratulates Dumfries and Galloway College on the positive outcomes of its 2026 Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review (TQER), which recognised the college's effective arrangements for managing academic standards, enhancing the quality of the student learning experience and enabling student success; notes the recognition of the college's commitment to excellence in learning and teaching, student engagement and partnership, widening access, enhancement-led practice and its responsiveness to the needs of learners, employers and communities across Dumfries and Galloway; understands that the college serves as a vital anchor institution for the region, supporting economic growth, skills development and social mobility; recognises that Dumfries and Galloway College has achieved student performance outcomes that have exceeded Scottish sector averages across academic years 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25, demonstrating consistently high levels of learner attainment, achievement and progression; commends the dedication of students, teaching staff, professional services staff and the board of management in delivering these outcomes, and wishes the college every success as it continues to provide high-quality, accessible and transformative education for learners throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
