That the Parliament congratulates Patrick Doyle CBE, the internationally acclaimed composer from Uddingston, on being appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2026 Birthday Honours for services to film; recognises his outstanding contribution to music and cinema over a career spanning more than four decades; notes that his acclaimed scores have enhanced numerous celebrated productions, including Henry V, Sense and Sensibility, Hamlet, Brave, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Cinderella; further notes that his work has included a commission for the 2023 coronation of King Charles III; acknowledges the pride that his achievements bring to Uddingston, Lanarkshire and Scotland, and wishes him every success for the future.
