That the Parliament congratulates Merrylee Primary School on achieving the UNICEF UK Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award in March 2026; recognises that Gold Rights Respecting status is the highest level of accreditation available through UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting Schools Award programme and is only granted to schools that have fully embedded the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child throughout their ethos, culture and curriculum; commends the leadership, staff, pupils and wider school community for their commitment to promoting children's rights, inclusion, participation and wellbeing; acknowledges the positive impact that a rights respecting approach can have on learning, school culture and pupil empowerment; notes that the accreditation is valid for a period of three years and reflects sustained excellence in advancing children's rights across all aspects of school life, and wishes everyone at Merrylee Primary School continued success in the future.
