That the Parliament congratulates pupils and staff at Orchard Primary School and the Deaf Unit at Glencairn Primary School, for their involvement in supporting members of the Lanarkshire Deaf Hub to develop digital skills and confidence; understands that these sessions form part of North Lanarkshire Council's award-winning Digital Intergenerational Project, which brings together younger and older generations through shared learning experiences; understands that the project enables older residents to increase their digital confidence and skills while helping pupils develop communication skills, confidence and a strong sense of purpose; notes that, to date, 16 four-week sessions have been delivered, involving more than 170 pupils supporting 130 older people, including some participants who were using digital technology for the first time; recognises the positive impact that intergenerational learning can have in strengthening communities, reducing social isolation and promoting inclusion; commends everyone involved in the project for their commitment and dedication, and wishes the project continued success in expanding opportunities for learning across generations.
