Uniformed Volunteer Award for the Leaders of the 1st Rosewell Rainbows, Brownies and Guides

That the Parliament congratulates the leaders of the 1st Rosewell Rainbows, Brownies and Guides on receiving the Uniformed Volunteer award at the Midlothian Volunteer Awards; understands that the award was given in recognition of the team’s dedication to re-establishing Girlguiding in Rosewell in 2013 and developing it into three thriving units, supported by volunteers who now have over 40 years of combined service; believes that the leaders and young leaders consistently go above and beyond for the girls that they support; acknowledges that the leaders also volunteer their time to take girls on local residentials, national adventures and international trips, ensuring that young people in Rosewell have opportunities that build confidence, independence and lifelong memories, and commends the leaders for their commitment, resilience and passion for empowering girls and young women.
